I live in Wappingers Falls NY, about an hour away from NYC. Now I know there are a bunch of hurricane warnings for where I live and evacuations within a 2 hour radius of where I live, but I was wondering if there was any potential risk for where I live, whether or not I should leave and what I should expect over this weekend. This is the first time ive ever had to be concerned about a hurricane in my life.

The evacuations are for low lying areas that may have dangerous flooding. If your area has not been evacuated, then you aren't in one of those areas.

High winds could cause downed trees and long power outages (up to a few days). Have enough food and water in the house, without relying on electricity to cook it (crackers, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, granola bars, etc) Have some emergency cash on hand, as ATMs could be down. You'll want candles, matches/lighter, flashlight and batteries. Remember, stores could be closed if outtages are bad, so get everything you need now.

It's only a Cat 2. Stock up on "refreshments" and throw a hurricane party.

The rain and wind will beginning up saturday night, the worst of the hurricane is desperate to kick in Sunday morning early, it is going to final till Sunday afternoon, by utilising sunset it is going to be over. the the remainder of the week would be large.
