The best one in the city is Gray Line New York Sightseeing Tour. You can purchase a hop-on/hop-of tour ticket for around $49 and experience the city in that today period.
Now, in case you don't know what a hop-on/hop-off tour means, it means you can get on or off the fame red double decker buses as mean time as you wish in a 48 hour period (2 days). Say, for example, you want walk around Greenwich Village, you get off the bus, walk around the area and then get back on the next Gray Line tour bus and get off at the next stop.
The 48 Hour Hop On/Hop Off tour is good for use on the Downtown and Uptown Loop, Brooklyn Loop and Night/Holiday Lights Tour.
Good luck

- Broadway Shows
What is more synonymous with New York City than Broadway? Offering the best in dramas, comedies and musicals with stars of both film and stage, no one's New York City vacation would be complete without catching a show.
- Dining
Times Square offers some great dining from hometown favorites like Chevy's (corner of 42nd and Eighth), TGI Fridays (1680 Broadway) and Olive Garden (43rd and Broadway) as well as some unique alternatives like Ruby Foo's (Broadway and 50th) for some unique (but pricey) Asian food and Bistro 43 (43rd Street between Seventh and Eighth), a great French spot.
- Rockefeller Center
In the winter, you can ice skate with all of the other throngs of people. In the summer, you can enjoy outdoor dining, a stop at the Museum of Modern Art store or a sandwich from the legendary Dean & Deluca.

The hop on/hop off double decker bus tours are very popular. They allow you to get off and walk around when you want to explore an area, then get back on another bus to continue the tour over a period of 24, 48 or 72 hours. The two main companies that offer them are CitySights and Gray Line. You can compare them and get discount passes here: http://nyctouristcenter.com/

CitySights (open top) and Gray Line are two to choose from.
RIP Cliff. Always a legend, and regardless that you performed bass, you continue to encourage me as a guitarist. BQ4: my favorite member of Metallica is... this can be a difficult one. James or Kirk. BQ2: I dunno why I picked them... I bet I simply seem as much as them as a guitarist. BQ3: No, I am partial to sheep despite the fact that they poo even as leaping... yeah, it occurred close me :-( BQ4: Yes, I have. It was once strange, pungent however cool. It was once well. BQ5: Cliff Burton-generation, despite the fact that my favorite Metallica album is Justice. Because, despite the fact that I like their stuff from Justice and onwards, I simply select and LOVE their first three, specially Ride and Master.
