How about taking a little chance and seeing something that's not a Broadway blockbuster? They're called off Broadway and off-off Broadway (the terms refering to size of the venues and not the actual locations) and you can see some amazing productions for a lot less than the Broadway plays.

Is the Lion King or Beauty and the Beast still playing? They are both great, I haven't been to the area lately, so I don't know what is playing. Also, what about The Color Purple?
