I asked for directions to and from the museum in a previous question, but nobody gave me the second part to my question.

Once I leave the museum, how would I get back to Journal Square Jersey City New Jersey?

As a lifelong New Yorker I'll tell you Famous NY Lover has the definitive answer. I think the best route is to take the train to Grand Central and the uptown #4, 5 or 6 to 86th street and then walk west the four blocks over and three blocks down to the museum.

Give yourself plenty of time, it is a large and diverse museum. It has large collections of painting and sculpture of many descriptions, Egyptology, costumes, furnishings, etc. Then, too, they often have a featured show, highlighting an artist, movement or other theme. It has hasted in times past King Tut, the Mona Lisa and many more.

Just follow these directions, in courtesy of Google Maps:

Or,

If you are taking transportation, you have to take the subway (either the M1, M2, M3, 4, or 5). Usually each subway's entrance has which trains are downstairs. You have to purchase a metrocard though.

Then, once you get off at 5th Ave W 23rd street, you walk over to the Path station. Here, you buy a ticket for the path as well. You go on Platform 2, and then Journal Square Jersey City should be 6 stops away (or a 20 minute ride).

The above description is in the link.

If you need more assistance, then I'd suggest downloading Google Maps on your phone, and then putting in the names of the places (you don't have to find the address)
