New York time difference?

Is New York Five Hours or Six Hours behind us? Just wondered as we have a clock in our reception area and someone has spotted it is not actually 06.15am there, 12.15pm here, but 07.15am. Is this right?

Ummm... Where are you? If you're in England than the time change changes between 5-6 hours as the US and Canada have Daylight Savings Time. Rigth now New York is 5 hours behind Greewich Standard Time.

You are assuming all the "us" are from the same local. I am in montreal so new york is the same with me...How do you know all the people are from the same area?
